It has been a minute since I blogged! But a lot has gone down these past 8 months. I’ll start with this single update: today is release day for my book, Tiny Talks, Big Impact: A Guide to Short Speeches for Busy People!

I mentioned that I wrote a manuscript last November. Could I have self published in less time than 9-10 months? Probably. But I’m human and prone to the doubts, missteps, overwhelm, and everything else that can come with this kind of project. Of course I could have hired an outfit to do the whole thing for me. You know what though? I actually enjoyed learning about and doing all the steps to bring this book into the world. There’s no way to dim the DIY in me!

And now I’m back to this age-old question, revealing unease with labels, and a dash of impostor syndrome, now that there’s a book out there with my name on it: Am I writer now?

I have lots of thoughts, and even more questions, about this specific journey to self-publication. Which means this blog is coming back to life. (How often have I said that? This time it might be real.) 🙃
